Payback Records releases great music for a great cause: fighting America’s addiction epidemic. In partnership with Big Beat/Atlantic Records, Payback is on a mission to raise meaningful funds for organizations working on the frontlines of the crisis. Payback Records supports nonprofits helping individuals and families struggling with addiction and mental health needs.

The Facts
In 2017, drug overdoses killed more than 70,000 Americans. Close to 70 percent of these overdose deaths involved opioids. (CDC)
Based on this 2017 data, drug overdoses are now the leading cause of death among Americans under the age of 50, with overdose deaths exceeding those attributable to firearms, car accidents, or homicides. More Americans died from a drug overdose in 2017 alone than died in the entire Vietnam War. (New York Times, June 5, 2017)
Nearly half of all Americans report having a family member or close friend who battles addiction. In 2018, 50% of American teenagers reported drug addiction as a major problem among their peers. (Pew Research Center, October 2017, February 2019)
